TRAVEL HEALTH INFORmation
When traveling to India, WHO recommends the following vaccinations: hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid, cholera, yellow fever, Japanese encephalitis, rabies, meningitis, polio, measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis), chickenpox, shingles, pneumonia and influenza.
Mosquito-related diseases are prevalent in India such as malaria and dengue. Antimalarial medication is recommended as for dengue there is no vaccination approved in the United States. Take precautions against mosquitoes like using repellents and mosquito netting.
